An excellent book on longitudinal data analysis

Prof. Lesa Hoffman has written an excellent book on longitudinal data analysis, as simple as that, and this is the strength of the book. It covers all main topics of longitudinal analysis from the most basic to the most complex cases, but Prof. Hoffman develops a methodology that simplifies this tough issue by means of examples, illustrations, and clear explanations. One major advantage of this book is its proposed formats for reports. As data analysts, we always struggle with these dilemmas of what to report and how to report it. Prof. Hoffman solves this problem by offering the right content of a report on longitudinal analysis results that meets top publication requirements. This book has become my textbook for modeling longitudinal analysis and I believe many think the same about it.

This is the best grammar book I've ever seen, not only because it's baqsed on corpus, which means real productions, but also because professor Biber provides us with lots of exercises on the topis he presents. Also, there's a website which contains the answer key for them.

A Corpus-based book for frequency and register

What I like about this book is the corpus-based information provided for each activities. Not all the chapter provides speaking activities because not all the grammatical structures are used in communication. Each chapter is also well-scafford. If you are looking for a book that can help your students with speaking appropriately in context, Real Grammar is surely a keeper!

About the Author
Denise Alvarado was born and raised in the Voodoo and hoodoo rich culture of New Orleans. She has studied mysticism and practiced Creole Voodoo and indigenous healing traditions for over three decades. She is an artist, independent researcher, and the author of several books, including the Voodoo Hoodoo Spellbook, Voodoo Dolls in Magick and Ritual, the Voodoo Doll Spellbook and Hoodoo Almanac 2012, coauthored with Carolina Dean and Alyne Pustanio. Denise is a rootworker in the southern hoodoo tradition, the founder and Editor in Chief of Hoodoo and Conjure Magazine. Madrina Angelique was born and raised in rural Georgia. She has immersed herself in the study and practice of traditional southern hoodoo since childhood. She is initiated in the Palo tradition as Madre Nganga of Munanso Centella Ndoki Nkuyo Malongo Corta Lima Cordosa, initiated by Chief Ololele Afolabi, godson of Tata Antonio Ali. She is also initiated in Santeria as Iyalorisha of Ile Ori Yemaya, initiated by Baba Ogun Solu, godson of Chief Bolu Fantunmise of the Ifa Orisha Cultural Center in Nigeria and Atlanta. Denise Alvarado and Madrina Angelique have done a fantastic job of supplying everything you could ask for with spiritual baths. This book really does have it all! From cleansing baths to bringing a lover ( they even offer a few aimed at gay lovers which is often over looked by other authors) if you need it, you will find it. Very easy to read and organized unlike some books on the market about spiritual baths, it goes right to the meat . A must for any serious worker, you won't be disappointed! I really liked the Ogun Protection Bath , great job ladies !

Good stuff in a small book.

The authors Denise and Angelique wrote a nice book, jammed packed with spiritual baths for every purpose, although some of the baths were light in the ingredients like the Oya power bath on page 55, goats milk would have been a nice ingredients to add to that bath not only power it up but also to remove curses and witchcraft thrown at you and you don't need cemetery flowers, quite frankly any wild flowers would do as Oya has other flowers besides the traditional ones associated with her paths. I loved the uncrossing baths!! and the section on spiritual waters. these two Priestesses did a good job listing baths used in the Palo/Ifa/Santaria/Obeah and Vodun spiritual systems, while the book is small its packs a punch in the number of baths listed here. definitely one to add to the collection.

I have spent an enormous time calling support lines of R/C model dealers, searching about R/C forums, posting questions there, and watching hours of YouTube videos in my quest for knowledge. I could have saved myself a lot of time had I known of the existence of this great book.

I must also reveal that the book arrived yesterday afternoon and I am only half way through reading it. I have gleaned enough knowledge in that half book to justify my 5 star review. Bottom line: The book is a must read for anyone new to the hobby of flying R/C aircraft! Now I've got to run and go finish the rest of this great book!

Worthwhile, helpful, and enjoyable read

I am an experienced modeler and electric airplane pilot looking for material to help others learn about electric aircraft and flying. I read this book from cover-to-cover and found it to be thoughtful, well organized, and authoritative.

Jim engages the reader with some common initial questions that are clearly answered. The book helps with getting started with electric flight, safe modeling, field operations, how models work, and tools needed, as well as examining electric power systems.

The book is easy to read and understand, concise, and is up-to-date, and offers current useful electric information. I recommend it as an excellent guide to those starting out and needing a book to help "pull it all together".

Jim Mohan provides a well written introduction to the R/C flying world. It covers everything a new modeller to radio control needs in order to make judgement on clubs, kits, electric or nitro or anything else conceivable. Well worth the reading and information provided and will save time and money.
